The Early, Early Christmas Fair 2023 in aid of Army Benevolent Fund, The Soldier’s Charity
Every year we kick of the charity fair season with one of my all time favourite Christmas Fairs.. as early as September! This year in 2023 the theme is all about community. Community is so much more than where you live and who our neighbours are. It is so much bigger than that – it is about the tribe, common interests, a sense of belonging, experiences and sharing them with others. The Army family is not just about the local community but also about the nationwide one, which is why so many people travel far and wide to come to the Event, to meet up with family and friends. You only have to hear the words “are you going to the ‘Early Early’?” People know the event you are talking about as it has become the ‘go to’ event in the calendar. The network works and it creates lasting friendships regardless of where you live but this event is important for Wiltshire – it is a military county and its presence is huge. If everyone were all home at the same time, the county would be home to 20 per cent of the entire British Army and the Army is also Wiltshire’s biggest single employer. Military life can take its toll on service members and military families. Being there for the military community helps improve morale and operational readiness.
Shop in the most beautiful location in spacious marquees overlooking the magnificent polo fields – all bustling with atmosphere. Free easy parking right beside the event – so it’s easy to drop off shopping, or for those who do not want to walk far.
